\"PLEASE KNOCK\" in 2007
11th Annual Independent Publisher Book (IPPY) Awards

Press Release Body = Denver children's author Erin Dolgan wins a bronze medal in
this year's 11th Annual Independent Publisher Book (IPPY) Awards. A total of 2,690
national entries came from all 50 U.S. states, 8 Canadian provinces, and 17
countries overseas. "Please Knock" is a children's book to help facilitate family
discussion on your child's personal space and setting boundaries. It is also Erin's
FIRST book.

Erin Dolgan received her Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling in 1995. Licensed
in the State of Colorado, she is a practicing clinician working for over 16 years
with juvenile and adult male sexual offenders. From disclosures made during those
sessions, she discovered that most predators had set up relationships with their
victims long before the abuse began. When she checked for an age appropriate book
for children to warn children of dangers she found a large hole on the local
bookshelves.

To open the doors of communication on this taboo subject is why Erin Dolgan wrote
the children's book "Please Knock". It's purpose is to aid parents in talking to
their children about a subject that is sometimes viewed as to delicate for children
in a safe non-threatening way. It also teaches them to recognize dangerous
situations, thus protecting themselves, not to mention it's a wonderful tool for
children's therapist and counselors.

"Please Knock" is simply written for children, but it also assists parents in
discussing important issues. Made up of short poems and delightful illustrations,
this book should be a part of every family's library.

"Please Knock" is self-published, and is available from the author on Erin's website
at www.relativedanger.com, The Bookies Bookstore and now on www.Amazon.com. Erin
Dolgan is available for interviews. If you would like a copy for review, please
contact Rhonda Chesnutt.
